The Masonic Lodge and stream

The Mill House Bristol Bed and Breakfast is thought to have been built in the reign of James I (1603-1625) and is located next to the old Rickford Chapel (now the Masonic Hall for the Forest of Mendip Lodge of Freemasons) and Mill Pond.

The baptismal steps can still be seen leading down to the brook in the front garden of Mill House and The Pump House, housing one of the original pumps, still remains in the grounds.

Due to its wonderful architecture and countryside, this area is a particular favourite for TV, film and photography. At the end of 2011 the cast and crew of “Zombie King“, descended on both Blagdon and Rickford to film scenes with stars Corey Feldman, Edward Furlong and their many zombie extras.
